The MSc Fashion & Luxury Marketing program is structured to provide a comprehensive understanding of the fashion and luxury markets. Our curriculum is divided into modules that cover everything from brand management to digital marketing and retail strategies.

Academic Content

Year 1: International pre-master

This year is only designed for students with a 2- or 3-year bachelor’s degree and no work experience.

Year 1 is an International Pre-Master year providing the essential academic foundations in management while offering flexibility through a blended format.

The year combines online, self-paced learning from September to December, followed by on-campus courses from January to April. Students study core management subjects, develop soft skills, strengthen data and analytical abilities, and follow two language courses (English, French).

From May to August, students may complete an optional 1- to 6-month internship in France, or abroad to gain initial professional experience.

This academic block is divided into 8 modules, designed to provide you with sound fundamentals in luxury marketing, fashion marketing, and both the Fashion & Luxury industries. 

Block 1. Understanding the customer journey

You will be able to design effective global marketing strategies by integrating ethical marketing principles, cross-cultural awareness, and sustainable innovation practices.

You will be able to analyze consumer behavior, apply advanced market research methods, and develop data-driven digital marketing strategies to solve real-world marketing challenges.

Block 3. Understanding fashion & luxury markets and customers

Build an in-depth knowledge of international Fashion & Luxury markets (fashion & accessories, cosmetics, fragrances, watches & jewellery, fine wines & spirits, cars, hospitality…) and will better understand Luxury customers’ motivations and behaviours. You will gain insights into how companies are adapting their business strategies to create value for this new generation of global customers, who are definitely more demanding, digital-savvy, and experience-oriented.

Block 4. Branding in the fashion & luxury industry

This module will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of how to build strong Fashion & Luxury brands, nurture them, and grow the brand’s equity. This module prepares you to address the challenges of tomorrow in the increasingly competitive and global Luxury industry.

This module will help you to learn to communicate strong value propositions and drive customer affinity & engagement.

Block 6. Implementing fashion & luxury marketing strategies

Understand the key loyalty drivers and the issues at stake for the company’s performance. You will learn how Fashion & Luxury brands can successfully manage their customers’ portfolio, engage with their target customers, build strong relationships, and create uplifting customer experiences along the customer journey.

Block 7. Managing fashion & luxury retail and sales channels

In this module you will get an overview of the various selective retail networks. You will understand the pillars to leverage retail network performances, manage sales teams, and deliver outstanding omni-channel customer experience.

Block 8. Master Dissertation

You will be able to design and conduct rigorous marketing research, develop clear research questions and theoretical frameworks, apply appropriate research methodologies, and produce a well-structured master’s dissertation.

Additionally, you will have the chance to undertake a 6-month curricular internship in a renowned national or international company.

Over the course of several lectures, workshops, individual tests, and coaching sessions, a specialist will support you from the start and help you find the right internship or job. 

Coaching

We will help you analyze your skills, strengths, and areas for improvement. Through personality tests and individual coaching, we will integrate your self-knowledge with your aspirations and career choices.

Personal Branding

You will take part in workshops to build your CV and e-portfolio to highlight your experiences and skills to future employers.

You will be asked to write an individual dissertation on a current marketing issue in the fashion & luxury industries from an academic or professional perspective. You will be making a contribution to the study, analysis, formalization, and abstraction of the identified issue. The write-up should reflect the following: 

 

Motivation: Justifying the choice of the research problem or issue 

Resourcefulness: Ability to start and conceptualize a piece of research 

Creativity & common sense: Demonstration of a structured and logical methodology 

Cross-functionality: Demonstration of a multidimensional approach to problem-solving 

Submitting a suitable master’s thesis is a compulsory requirement for graduation. 

Put your consultancy skills to the test for two weeks during a hands-on, transversal, and strategic assignment. This project is designed for students from all master’s programs, allowing you to collaborate with peers from diverse academic backgrounds.

You will receive a letter of engagement from a TBS Education partner company representative about a current strategic challenge, not necessarily linked to your field of study. This project allows you to work on any area of the company, regardless of your specialization, offering a truly cross-functional experience.

With support from TBS professors, students will work on a strategic diagnosis to analyze the company’s competitive position. Finally, they will propose strategic and operational recommendations to meet the challenges faced by the company.

Move to action and join the operational mission of the MSc Fashion & Luxury Marketing program. Through this eminently practical team project, you will design an action plan to drive customer engagement for a partner brand operating in the Fashion & Luxury industries. With it, you will gain an in-depth understanding of the brand’s DNA and analyze its touchpoints with the customer.

Study Trip: expand your horizons

You will embark on a 3-day Study Trip to one of the top fashion & luxury hubs, such as Paris, Milan, or London. This field trip will allow you to discover and explore the ins and outs of the industry while connecting with what you have learned in class.

Activities will include guided visits, workshops, and talks with industry executives that will allow you to gain insights into some of the most iconic luxury brands and concept stores. In addition, you will discover the collections of the greatest designers.

Optional Language Course

Make the most of your time in Barcelona by learning Spanish. We offer you the opportunity to take a 40-hour language course for beginners, included in the master’s tuition fee.

You will obtain a double degree, Master of Science degree and the “Diplôme d’études supérieures en Management Stratégique International” (an official diploma accredited by the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.)

For holders of a 4-year bachelor’s degree:

  • You will obtain a double degree, Master of Science degree and the “Diploma of Specialised Studies in International Management” (an official diploma accredited by the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation).
