The Postgraduate in Sustainable Business aims to provide you with a systemic understanding of the imperative of transitioning to new forms of businesses and organizations that prioritize not harming the planet and contributing to its long-term balance. This journey includes four main milestones.Â
Develop a systemic understanding of the need for businesses to transition towards sustainable practices that contribute to a peaceful and balanced planet. This foundation will equip you with the transdisciplinary skills and tools necessary to grow as an individual and a professional.
Open the canon of learning by integrating new economic paradigms. This will help you acquire the competence to work in international and interdisciplinary teams, apply managerial knowledge to solve problems in unfamiliar environments, and develop a solid foundation for ethical decision-making in a business context.
Engage with critical methodologies through both conceptual and practical approaches, including film debates, in situ experiences, and discussions with experts in innovative solutions and regulation.
Whether you aim to start your own sustainable business or lead sustainability initiatives within an existing organization, you will learn how to think collectively with meaningful impact on your local professional ecosystem.
You will learn about how climate change is intrinsically linked to social justice, broadening the scope of climate action to address inequalities and ensure equitable access to resources. For businesses and organizations, this perspective necessitates a comprehensive approach to sustainability that goes beyond environmental stewardship to include social responsibility and ethical governance.Â
It will let you delve deep into how businesses and organisations can implement managerial practices to nurture the sustainability imperative and goals. You will learn how to think and develop an organization’s mission and internal activities aligned with sustainability goals, ensuring long-term viability and ethical operations.Â
By participating in company/organisation visits, work groups on real cases, film debates, and round tables, you will develop critical holistic thinking, analytical, and communication skills.Â
You will gain a deep understanding of ethical principles and develop a sustainability mindset. This will enable you to navigate specific dilemmas and controversies professionally, considering the long-term sustainability of an organization, particularly in an increasingly technologically advanced world. As a role model for sustainability, you will inspire and influence others to adopt sustainable behaviours.
