Academic Content

Year 1: International pre-master

This year is only designed for students with a 2- or 3-year bachelor’s degree and no work experience.

Year 1 is an International Pre-Master year providing the essential academic foundations in management while offering flexibility through a blended format.

The year combines online, self-paced learning from September to December, followed by on-campus courses from January to April. Students study core management subjects, develop soft skills, strengthen data and analytical abilities, and follow two language courses (English, French).

From May to August, students may complete an optional 1- to 6-month internship in France, or abroad to gain initial professional experience.

This academic block of the master’s in Brand Management and Creativity is divided into 8 modules designed to provide sound fundamentals in this area.

Put your consultancy skills to the test for two weeks during a hands-on, transversal, and strategic assignment. This project is designed for students from all master’s programs, allowing you to collaborate with peers from diverse academic backgrounds.

You will receive a letter of engagement from a TBS Education partner company representative about a current strategic challenge, not necessarily linked to your field of study. This project allows you to work on any area of the company, regardless of your specialization, offering a truly cross-functional experience.

With support from TBS Education professors, you will analyze the company’s competitive position and propose strategic and operational recommendations.

The MSc Brand Management & Creativity program brings the professional realm to students through direct interaction with industry experts*. Optional Language Course

Make the most of your time in Barcelona by learning Spanish. We offer you the opportunity to take a 40-hour language course for beginners, included in the master’s tuition fee.

If you are planning to undertake your internship in Spain, speaking Spanish would be a highly valuable asset as most of the companies would expect you to be fluent in this language. That is why we encourage you to benefit from this opportunity.

The course’s timetable is embedded in your msc brand management and creativityso that you can combine it with the program’s classes and activities. However, it does not provide you with ECTS credits. Finally, please consider that we require a minimum of 8 students registered to offer each language course.

Learning by Doing: Real-World Brand Challenges

Throughout the program, students apply the knowledge acquired in class through hands-on projects developed with real organisations. They work on authentic business challenges such as brand rejuvenation, international positioning, visual identity, and product innovation. Students receive professional briefings, work in teams as if they were a consulting or branding agency, and develop strategic, creative, and actionable solutions.
These projects conclude with presentations to professionals, who provide direct feedback, ensuring a strong connection between academic learning and real-world practice.

A clear example of this approach is the collaboration with Anis del Mono. Students worked on a real brand rejuvenation challenge, aiming to attract a younger audience. Acting as a branding agency, they developed and presented strategic proposals to the company, applying brand management frameworks to a real business context

Launch your global career with a 6-month Internship

As part of all TBS Education MSc programs, students complete a professional internship that provides essential real-world experience and strengthens their employability. Whether carried out in France or abroad, these internships offer the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained in class, develop industry-specific skills, and build an international professional network.

During this master’s degree in brand management, you will be given the chance to complete an internship at a company in Spain or abroad for over 6 month internship during Year 2 of the programme.  

For students entering the two-year track, an additional optional internship of 1 to 4 months can be undertaken at the end of Year 1 (May to August). This shorter placement is not compulsory but offers an opportunity to gain early professional exposure before starting the MSc year. 

TBS Career Services will help you develop your skills and provide you with the professional tools you need to find the best internship to fit your career goals. You will also be provided with personalized coaching to get the most out of your internship experience. 

Finding an internship can be difficult as it requires perseveranceautonomy, and initiative. You will receive support for this project during the Career Services workshops, which will help you boost your employability.

For holders of a 3-year bachelor’s degree:

You will obtain a double degree, Master of Science degree and the “Diplôme d’études supérieures en Management Stratégique International” (an official diploma accredited by the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation.)

For holders of a 4-year bachelor’s degree:

  • You will obtain a double degree, Master of Science degree and the “Diploma of Specialised Studies in International Management” (an official diploma accredited by the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation).
